Portfolios of My Photographic Work
The following galleries contain examples of some of my work through the decades. Photography has been a hobby of mine since about 1961. However, looking back, I was interested in photography before I became a teenager.
A few years ago, I found a print of the first picture that I ever took. It's of my younger sister. (She would prefer if I referred to her as my much younger sister. She is nearly 13 years younger than me.) I had dressed her in an old scout shirt and cap to make her appear like the title character from the post-WWII comic strip, Dondi, about a war orphan. Unfortunately, my sister saw the photo in an old photo album, and she took it. Now, I've managed to locate a scan of the image and may post it. That will teach her to walk off with my photographs.
Some of my photography is of street scenes. Most of the rest is portraiture. I've also dabbled in figure, glamor, and product photography. Currently, I'm working on landscapes. However, I remain focused on people and their faces in particular. I find great enjoyment and wonder in capturing the emotional expressiveness of the human face.
